I saw these shoes in a catalog for Free People Clothing.The minute I noticed them I was hooked. The look/style of these boots is terrific. I ordered mine in tusk/stone, beautiful color.These are well made. I received them today in my mail and I am so excited to share my thoughts as I can't wait for the snow to come.NOW I am prepared for the New England Winter. I have a dog and a baby. Both require daily walks, preferably twice. I really wanted something comfortable and fashionable and this boot meets my expectations.The fit is true to size. No need to wear thick socks to stay warm or to fill in space. As I walk in them they feel very comfortable and not to heavy.I feel the outer sole has a fantastic grip which is very important when you walk through snow and ice.from another review I know that these shoes will last for a very long time, not just one winter.I would say $ 200 well spend. I can't wait for the SNOW!

These boots have been a lifesaver. Who knew that New York was going to get so much snow this winter? These boots have held up in the slushy mess that is New York and have kept me warm and dry. They're comfortable, stylish and durable, which is a difficult to find. The only caveat is that the sizing runs large. I'm typically a 6.5 and bought these in a 6. I definitely still have some wiggle room and wonder how the 5 would have fit. Nevertheless, these boots are wonderful.

Other reviewers say they feel like these boots fit large, so I was expecting toe room to be similar to the Caribou. After returning a pair of these boots 1/2 size smaller than my normal fit, I think sizing is right on target especially given the fact that you may want to wear a heavy wool sock for warmth. Keeping plenty of space in the toe is essential to a warm foot. I usually wear a 7.5 - 8 shoe. The 8's that I ordered have plenty of room in the toe cap to allow for good circulation and room for a wool sock. They dont have a thick lining in the toe, so I imagine I will definitely want to wear more than a thin sock.

These shoes look better in person that in the pictures I saw. I really love them. They are perfect for all weather conditions and they look good. I live in NYC and they are good for a lot of walking through rain/snow. Inside has warm lining. Can't go wrong with these guys.

These boots are really good-looking ones, compared to most of winter boots that can handle real cold. They have just arrived and they seem to be really resistant and confy. They are water proof until the leg, which is really good for the crazy snowstorms we have in Montreal. I really loved them and now I am waiting for the snow to come. I guess I will post a new review after the first winter.My only concern is the leather laces. They don't seem to be very resistant and I think Sorel knows that because they come with an extra pair of regular green laces that seem to be stronger.The fit is a little bit smaller than other Sorel boots. I am size 6 and I have an old pair of ankle winter boots from Sorel that are 6.5, which was a little bit loose but great to wear with thick socks. These I bought 6.5 and they fit just perfect, so I recommend you to buy at least 1 size bigger than yours if you are not sure...

This is a great winter boot. It's roomy in the toe box so you will have plenty of room for thicker wool socks on those cold days. Not that you'll need them... the thinsulate keeps your feet outright toasty. Very comfortable and very stylish. Oh... And are they ever waterproof. I accidentally stepped in a 6" deep mud puddle and not a drop of water on my socks.The boot does run a bit small. I wear a 9.5 and the 10 fit me fine. buy up at least a half size.Bottom line... great shoe, in function and general appeal.

Old-school styling meets all-weather readiness in this updated winter classic, reinvented in heritage colors and waxed canvas as a nod to Sorel's long tradition of craftsmanship. Seam-sealed, completely waterproof, and incredibly warm, the canvas upper and handcrafted rubber shell are lined with a 6mm recycled felt InnerBoot for a temperature rating down to -40° below zero. Should the need arise, the InnerBoot can be easily removed and washed to keep boots feeling (and smelling) like new. And where the rubber meets the black ice and snow-covered road, a low-profile herringbone outsole provides plenty of grip when the going gets slick.
Very nice brand as far as practicality, but not a good look. I am always a size 9 so I ordered a size 9 and I probably could have gone with a 8 or 81/2. Even if I had gotten the right size the puppies are huge! They are very wide and a bit on the heavy side.

These boots were popular when I was growing up. We called them "duck boots" back then. I had no idea these were still in style! My sons loves these boots!
